How this NYT Wordle helper works

Enter your guesses into the grid, then tap each completed tile to cycle its color (gray → yellow → green). Expand a row with the chevron to see its analysis and optional hints.

Progressive hints

The current row's expanded panel reveals hints one at a time — from general to specific — so you stay in control of how much help you get. Each button tells you what kind of hint is coming next: words remaining, common letters, common patterns, distinguishing guess, remaining words, and finally Reveal our suggestion for the recommended next guess.

What you get per completed row

• Letter grade badge (A+ through F) — how strong the guess was given what was known.
• Expected remaining words and worst-case count after the guess.
• Could be the answer / narrowing guess analysis based on the colors you set.
